Teaching Assistant & Senior Teaching Assistant
2 Positions available- 15 hours
Required to start April 19th 2021Mornings only, Monday to Friday 15 hours per week. Term time only for 1 year.
Teaching Assistant PCD 5 £18562-£18,933
Senior Teaching Assistant PCD 7 £22,183-£23,080
1. Position 1 -(Mornings: Working with a child 1:1)
2. Position 2 -(Mornings: Working with a child 1:1)
It would be desirable if applicants are trained in areas such as ‘Reading Intervention’ and ‘Maths Recovery’
The Governors of St Columba’s Catholic Primary School are looking to appoint dedicated and highly motivated Senior Teaching Assistants to work within the school. Under the supervision of teaching/senior staff, undertake a range of varied tasks to support teaching, learning and care of pupils with special educational needs by working with individuals or small groups either in or outside the classroom
We are looking for TA’s & STA’s who:
·Are Supportive of Catholic education with a clear understanding of the distinctive nature or a Catholic School, and who are willing to take a full and active role in all aspects of school life.
·Are inspirational and a good role model.
·Have creativity and passion.
·Can influence and motivate children, parents and colleagues in achieving high standards.
·Have the ability to nurture and guide little children with warmth and care.
·St Columba’s are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. An enhanced DBS check is required for the successful candidates and safer recruitment procedures will be used in the process.
