The Sacraments

The Sacrament of Baptism

Baptisms normally take place on Sundays at one of the four churches. If you wish, Baptisms can take place during the Mass. Please contact Fr Gribben or the Parish Office to discuss arrangements. We now have a Baptism Preparation programme where the Sacrament is explained and the candidates and their families prepare for the sacrament.

This year, 2017, there are a number of adults who are embarking on a preparation programme. There will be a course of instruction, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). Details are available from the Parish Office.

The Sacrament of Confirmation

This takes place in Yr 6 (ages 10-12). If anyone would like to be confirmed please contact Fr Gribben or the Parish Office

The Sacrament of the Eucharist

First Holy Communion will take place on or near the feast of Corpus Christi. Preparation programmes for First Confessions and First Holy Communions have been prepared and given to all families involved in this year’s programme.
